This is more a chapbook than a full-length poetry book, and most of the poems aren’t particularly long, but there’s just as much content here, if you know what I mean. Most are easily relatable on first read, and if you continue on, you’ll find lots of layers and hidden meanings in between the lines. Definitely worth a second or third reading.
The best way I can describe this book is that it's masterful. it's so full of subtle emotions that there were many times when I was inspired to do my own self-reflection. Everyone has a past, and the narrator is able to gently evoke long-forgotten emotions with a few well-chosen words.
